Posterior tibial tendonitis exercises and treatments are not always clear cut because tendonitis is such a difficult problem to solve. Especially since every one has a different case and has it in different forms and severities. I hope you got some good info out of this post.

Posterior tibial tendonitis can be a serious issue to anyone as it effects both the foot and the ankle, but without the proper posterior tibial tendonitis treatment, there won’t be a true way into fixing the needed issue.

Click here ==> To Cure Your Tendonitis Pain <==

One thing that you must make sure is that you do get a doctor or some type of certified medical professional to take a look at the rupture with an MRI scan and/or X-ray’s so they can better look at what exactly happened and if the tendon has completely collapsed or not. Most doctors tend to usually do an MRI scan to take note on the inflammation and to see if it’s still at the early stages or not.

One great and cost efficient posterior tibial tendonitis treatment is actually taking over-the-counter prescription pills such as Tylenol or Aspirin. These pills alone help with reducing the inflammation and also helps with relieving the pain that’s being brought one from the ruptured tendon.

What most people usually indicate is that it hurts most when pressure is being applied to the foot and that the ankle is the part that gives off the most pain. It can be a really vague type of pain yet it hurts more than just a typical ankle sprain and it also can affect that way you walk.

Another treatment would be to actually wear a cast. A cast helps the foot and the ankle stay in place while the tendon is resting to make sure that proper healing does occur. The cast is usually only given when the rupture is minor and the inflammation has already went down. Although it’s not really looked upon as a posterior tibial tendonitis treatment, it does help the tendon heal itself without the need for medicated prescription.

Posterior tibial tendonitis is a condition in which one of the tendons within the ankle gets torn. This is very common among people whether they play sports or not. Some people usually confuse this with Achilles tendonitis; however, the posterior tibial tendon usually runs from the back of the leg to the inner side of the foot. People who have posterior tibial tendonitis usually have had an ankle sprain prior to it. The proper posterior tibial tendonitis treatment is required no matter if it is minor or major because of how it can affect your walking.

Symptoms Of Posterior Tibial Tendonitis

The common symptom experienced is pain with the foot and the ankle. It also usually makes it difficult for you to walk as you regulary would. Some people have noted that there’s even slight ankle pain along with it. Some people have even reported that it feels like a vague, but painful foot cramp.

Keep in mind that an X-ray examination is the real full proof way of diagnosing whether or not your symptoms are of because of posterior tibial tendonitis or with some other condition that has symptoms related to it.

Posterior Tibial Tendonitis Treatment

There are multiple posterior tibial tendonitis treatment options. You may need to wear a cast to allow the tendon to heal and recover, as movement can further damage it. If it’s serious, surgery may be required, but that’s based on what the medical professionals think is right as they are the ones that also view the X-rays in depth. There are medications that may be prescribed to you to help with the inflammation of the tendons usually when it’s in the early stages. If for some reason the bone has collapsed, then you’d have to go through with a fusion procedure – in which the bone is reconstructed.
